GMARC MEETING MINUTES FOR
MARCH 2005

Corr opened the meeting @ 7:07 PM.
Minutes
were accepted as shown on the website. Mike N5WCS made the motion and seconded
by George K8GEO.
Treasurer’s
report: The GMARC currently has $1796 for the bank balance. The motion to
approve was made by Dave WI8C and seconded by Scott W1BIC.
Dave
WI8C made a motion to spend $150 for a new 2M antenna. Jim N8DMW seconded the
motion. Vote carried.
Scott
W1BIC spoke of statistics of Echolink and the GM repeater. In one year there
were 1414 different hams that had accessed the GM repeater through Echolink.
Mike
N5WCS made the inter-club ham radio activities presentation. For more details

The
April GMARC presentation will be an antenna theory VCR tape from the ARRL
provided by Scott WN1B. John & Brad will coordinate arranging a projector to
display the tape. TJ will provide the screen.
Dave
WD8IFL gave a brief update on the club activity demonstrating ham radio to local
neighborhood children. The site is still being investigated. A short discussion
on suggestions for local sites followed.
MARC
update: the coordination for the 440 MHz repeater has not been confirmed.
K8GEO George will arrange for Paul AA8OZ to present his mobile antenna installation demonstration at a club meeting for a later date.
BREAK
50-50 winner was Dave W8RIT
Dave WD8IFL had a presentation on his MFJ QRP radio and functions.
20 members in attendance.
Mike N5WCS made a motion to close meeting at 8:32 PM. Blake KC8PQA seconded the motion. Vote carries.
