GMARC MEETING MINUTES FOR MAY 2006

I.  Meeting begins at 7:04pm, by Scott W1BIC

The meeting takes place at the Renaissance Center Tower 300, Floor 21, room A-27. 

II. Treasurer’s Report

TJ reports that we have $2187 in the checking account.  Larry K80X accepts the treasurer’s report, which is seconded by George K8GEO.

III. Tech Committee

Chuck, N8ZA, does not have any new information to report.

IV. Newsletter and Net Information

Dave, W8RIT or RVVFFFFFFFFF, asks the members to have all articles for the news letter by the third week of the month.  Dave is asking for information that is radio related only.

Dave asks any members that checked into the Monday night net on January 2^nd to please send him an e-mail.

V. New Business

The members vote unanimously approving $1000 for new cavities for the 2 meter repeater.  Harry Pierce K0SNW sent a note to the club saying, “To my friends at GM and On-star, I’m praising you for working together in this endeavor for emergency communications.” 

On-star guest speakers were introduced:  1, Greg Payne who is a Service Line Manager; 2, Brandon Immerson who is an advisor; 3, Cathy McCormick who is a Service Line Manager; 4, Sarah Kindinger who is a Training Manager and Crisis Manager. 

VI. Introduction of Members

Three new members have been added to the membership roster since the last meeting!!
