GMARC MEETING MINUTES 19-JUN-07

 

 

I.  Call to Order by President, Ingo DL5AL at 7:01 PM.

II.  Introductions & Upgrades

There were 2 Visitors present -    KD8AKO Paul Knasinski

            The following call upgrades were announced:

III.  Minutes

 

Minutes of the 17-May-07 meeting were not available.  The minutes will be available and voted on the next Club meeting in September.

 

IV.  Treasurer’s Report

            Joel WU8Y, our Treasurer, reported that the June bank balance was $1,789.38.  Including deposits and checks not cleared, the total bank balance as of this meeting is $1,776.82.  The Antenna Fund balance was $498.00.

 

Motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report by Dave WD8IFL and seconded by Eddie N8RUE.  Motion passed.

 

V.  Membership Report by Bobby N8CY

            We have 73 members in good standing, and 47 have also paid their 2007 dues.

VI.  Nets and Newsletter (Discussion)

           No Report.

 

 

VII.  Club Liaison Report

No report given.
     

VIII.  Tech Committee Report

            Jeff N8XN reported that the repeater went down another notch last week.

 

 

IX.  Old Business

None.

 

X.  President's Remarks

 

Trunk Swap will be Saturday 21-Jul-07 from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the parking lot a Trinity Lutheran.  All proceeds from the Trunk Swap will go to the Antenna Fund.

Volunteers to assist with the Trunk Swap:

DL5AL – will coordinate with the Church
W1BIC, N8CY, WU8Y

 
Club Picnic will be Satruday 25-Aug-07 beginning at 10:00 AM.  Hot food will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00PM.  Stony Creek Metropark – Gladeview ‘A’.  Map and details will be at www.gmarc.org/picnic.htm

 

XI.  New Business

Scott W1BIC announced that “shopping” at Dayton was successful, the new Spare Parts Supply Chest has been created.  The inventory has already been posted at Yahoo! Groups.  Yahoo! Groups provides a framework for discussion.  A future desirable is to add a “Wish List” for the Supply Chest.

 

 

XII.  Break from 7:50 PM to 8:20 PM

 

            There was no 50/50 raffle.

 

The donations to the Coffee Fund by those present were $3.00.

 

 

XIII.  Presentation – Tales from Dayton – Scott W1BIC

 

            Many of our members went to Dayton this year, and many shared their experiences at this meeting.  Scott W1BIC demonstrated a couple of Lido mounts (www.lidomounts.com) that are unique and very serviceable.

 

 

XIV.  New Members & Attendance

           

            17 Members attended, and there were 2 Visitors.

 

            Total Collections delivered to the Treasurer:

 

                        Supply Chest Sales       - $  5.30
                        Antenna Fund                -     0.20

                        Coffee Donations            -     3.00


                                    Total --              $    8.50
