There were no Visitors or Upgrades announced.
Copies of the minutes from the 17-Apr-07 meeting were available at the meeting and on the GMARC Web Site.
Motion to approve the April Minutes by Dave WD8IFL and seconded by Rich K8OX. Motion passed.
IV. Treasurer’s Report
Joel WU8Y, our Treasurer, reported that the May bank balance was $1,523.38. Including deposits and checks not cleared, the total bank balance as of this meeting is $1,448.38. The Antenna Fund balance was $141.00.
Motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report by Rick K8OX and seconded by Mike N5WCS. Motion passed.
V. Membership Report by Bobby N8CY
We have 73 members in good standing, and 47 have also paid their 2007 dues.
VI. Nets and Newsletter (Discussion)
No May Newsletter has been published. WU8V only signed-up to be the temporary Newsletter Editor. We still need a permanent Editor.
Scott W1BIC noted that check-ins to the Monday night InfoNet have been consistent. The average in recent history has been about 10. Jeff N8XN as agreed to be the NCO for Week #1. We still need one permanent NCO for the 2nd week of the month, and at least one more stand-by NCO.

VIII. Tech Committee Report
Chuck N8ZA reported that both repeaters are running without their respective
power amplifiers (15/25 watts output). The P.A. failures were caused by
antenna failures on both 440-MHz and 2-meter repeater. See Tech Committee
Report from April regarding recommendation for new antennas.
IX. Old Business
Deferred motion from last motion to spend $200 to stock a Spare Parts “Supply Chest” was called to a vote. Motion passed.
Don K7SDF agreed to stand-up an area for GMARC at Yahoo! Groups. Send an eMail message to GMARC-subscribe@yahoogroups.com to subscribe.
Dave WD8IFL made a $240 donation to
the Antenna Fund completing his challenge. Bobby N8CY and Scott W1BIC each
donated $100 as part of the matching donation by WD8IFL
X. President's Remarks

XI. New Business
Ann Marie K8AMR would like to use our repeater for Nightly SE Michigan Traffic Net at 10:15 PM. Motion by Mike N5WCS, seconded by Scott W1BIC. Motion passed.
There will be a Spaghetti Dinner on 24-May-07 $6.00 per person for the benefit of Dave – Radio Shack at The Pantry 14½ and Van Dyke across from TRW (near Howard Jewelers).
The 50/50 raffle winner was Dave WI8C - $17.00. ($17 to the Club). WI8C donated his winning back to the Antenna Fund.
The donations to the Coffee Fund by those present were $8.00.
XIII. Presentation – Demonstration: Groups.Yahoo.com - Don K7SDF
As discussed at the April meeting, Don K7SDF presented the work he has done to set-up a Yahoo! Group for GMARC. This group will provide the ability for club members to communicate among themselves on the Internet. Don has already established a shell for pictures and eMail addresses for GMARC members at Yahoo! Groups.
A left foot key was brought-in by Don K7SDF.
Next month’s program will be tales from Dayton.
