Net Operator's Preamble
"Please Standby for the Monday night GM amateur Radio Net" (Pause for 30 seconds)
"Good evening, and welcome to the GM Amateur Radio Club Monday night information net, this is ____________ (your phonetic call sign) my name is____________ and I will be your control operator for tonight’s net."
"This net meets every Monday evening at 8:00 PM on this repeater. This is an open net, you do not have to be a member and all amateurs are encouraged to join in."
"In keeping with operating procedure, it is requested that check-in’s use the following format:"
"When you key-up say "This is." and un-key, then re-key and give your call sign phonetically and name"
"I will now pause for priority or emergency traffic, priority or emergency traffic please call now.."
(Remember to identify as NET CONTROL with your CALL SIGN at least every 10 minutes)
"I will now open the net to mobile and portable check-in’s, mobile and portable check-in’s, please call now."
(Address these check-in’s by acknowledging each, then give a second call for mobile and portable check-in’s.)
(After each group of stations are checked in go down the list calling each station and asking them if they have any traffic for the net.)
(Stations should state their information, and sign by clearing back to net control with their call sign.)
"I will now open the net to Base and EchoLink stations, please call now."
(Address these check-in’s by acknowledging each, then give a second call for Base and EchoLink check-in’s.)
(After each group of stations are checked in go down the list calling each station and asking them if they have any traffic for the net.)
(Stations should state their information, and sign by clearing back to net control with their call sign.)
(After all traffic has been handled, close the net.)
