Constitution
Article I – Name
The name of the organization shall be the General Motors Amateur Radio Club (GMARC).
Article II – Preamble
We the members, wishing to secure for ourselves the pleasure and benefits of association with persons commonly interested in Amateur Radio, have joined together as the General Motors Amateur Radio Club and enact this Constitution as our governing law. The purposes of this organization shall be 100% charitable to further public relations, community service, emergency communications, and other miscellaneous activities.
Article III – Membership
All persons interested in Amateur Radio communication, that is the Amateur Radio Service as defined by the Federal Communication Commission §97, shall be eligible for membership.
Article IV – Board of Directors
The Board of Directors (as defined in the By-Laws) shall be the governing body of the organization and shall meet regularly to determine such polices necessary for the continued growth and welfare of the organization.
Article V – Officers and Directors
The Officers and Directors of the organization (as defined in the By-Laws) shall be licensed Amateur Radio Operators and shall be the governing body to oversee the meetings of the organization.
Article VI – A.R.R.L.
This organization shall conform to any and all provisions required for affiliation with the American Radio Relay League (ARRL).
Article VII – Changes to the GMARC Constitution
This Constitution may be changed or modified by a vote of a simple majority of the GMARC Board of Directors with notice given to the General Membership at the next regularly scheduled Monthly Membership Meeting.
